- We accept cancellations without penalty. Life happens - communicate any updates within a reasonable time frame.
GET TO KNOW US
ABOUT US
I'm Karine & my husband is Hunter. We bring over 7 years of dog-sitting experience. I fostered in Houston, then adopted Bear whose sweet face, love of snuggles, and silly personality won me over. We lost him in 2019 - and made the decision to start Rover again in DC in 2021.

One of us works from home if we have a dog in our stay. If you want to learn more about our legal commitments, reference our petsitting contract.

We want you to enjoy your vacation or time away, knowing your dog is having their own holiday.
LOCATION
We live in Capitol Hill in a two-story rowhome with parks just around the corner and a small pocket sized front garden. We find ourselves outside whenever possible, either on our front stoop, walking the neighborhood, going on trail walks, or lazily lounging at the park.
OUR GUIDELINES
We accept dogs that are:

-
Neutered or spayed
-
Potty-trained and not destructive

We host one dog at a time, unless they are dog friends or come from the same house.
We can offer to support:
-
Administering medication
-
Senior care
Your dog can not be aggressive (no biting, nipping, or history of human attacks) nor destructive. We prefer dog-friendly dogs given our neighborhood and the proximity we have to neighbors.
WHAT TO EXPECT
New to us? We will schedule a meet & greet. This is where you and your dog visit our house. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you have while your dog gets to know the space.

When your dog is staying with us:
-
You'll get pictures. We may even send too many. We can't help it if we think your dog is adorable
-
Walks, snuggles, play - whatever their routine is, let us know so we can follow it. Use your petsitting contract to keep us updated.

And here are some good questions to consider asking or thinking through before the meet & greet.
